Below is a summary of some significant events in the life of Dirty Projectors, mostly ignoring live performances which are covered in Past shows.  Corrections and suggested additions welcome!

2002
The Graceful Fallen Mango (Dave Longstreth solo LP)

2003
- Morning Better Last! (compilation CD of three tapes recorded by Dave Longstreth)
- The Glad Fact LP
- Ezra Koenig, frontman-to-be of Vampire Weekend, reviews The Glad Fact and subsequently joins Dirty Projectors.

2004
Slaves’ Graves and Ballads.  (Two EPs, one featuring a college orchestra, the other guitar/vocal, collected on one LP)

2005
The Getty Address LP

2006
- Dirty Projectors at SXSW
- New Attitude EP
- WVKR radio session, comprising acoustic versions of songs from Rise Above, with new members Susanna Waiche and Amber Coffman

Rise Above LP recorded

2007
- Susanna Waiche and Charlie Looker having left, Angel Deradoorian joins
- Daytrotter session, comprising touring band versions of four songs from New Attitude
- Rise Above LP, a reimagining of Black Flag’s Damaged LP
- Second Daytrotter session - four songs from Rise Above

2008
- Recording of two songs with David Byrne for Dark Was The Night charity LP
- Recording of Bitte Orca

2009
- First preview of songs from Bitte Orca, at SXSW (YouTube footage)
- Stillness Is The Move single
- Mount Wittenberg Orca, a seven song suite composed by Dave Longstreth in five days, performed unamplified at NYC’s Housing Works bookstore with Bjork
- Bitte Orca LP

2010
- The Getty Address performed with orchestra for first time ever at Walt Disney Concert Hall, LA
- Mount Wittenberg Orca EP, by Dirty Projectors & Bjork, released digitally with proceeds going to a programme to promote sustainable ocean programmes.
- As I Went Out One Morning (cover of Bob Dylan song) single

2011
Mount Wittenberg Orca EP released on CD and vinyl

2012
- Gun Has No Trigger single released digitally
- Angel Deradoorian announced to be “on hiatus” from the band
- Mike Johnson replaces Brian McOmber as drummer
- Olga Bell joins as tour begins
- New album, Swing Lo Magellan, released 9 July (Europe) / 10 July (America)
- Dave Longstreth directed film, Hi Custodian, debuts on Pitchfork.tv
