Hello.... to UK people.

The Dirty Projectors and Alarm Will Sound are playing The Getty Address at the Barbican Hall in London, on June 25th 2010.

I stumbled across this randomly while booking Wildbirds and Peacedrum tickets (which you all should also go to - they're taking a big ol' choir with them this time!)

But yeah. I've got my tickets, but it's pretty much nowhere on the internet - no announcement or anything.

Go on the barbican website, (google it) and search dirty projectors. It seems to be the only place to buy at the moment.

So glad I found it! Get involved!

(if you feel like doing me a lovely favour, the have a listen to my music,
http://www.myspace.com/harryburgessmusic and let me know what you think, but if not then good luck with tickets- it should be amazing!)

I saw the NYC show @ the Allen Room in Lincoln Center and the whole event was phenomenal! I was not yet familiar with 'the Getty Address', so the impression was pure; nevertheless the arrangement with Alarm Will Sound and of course the three sirens' voices was transcendent. The room was acoustically perfect, an ideal venue -- a bit of a step up from a Brooklyn "performance space", though not as cozy, I'm sure. I hope some (legit) recording was made of this performance, especially video, so others can at least get a sense of the experience.

Thanks for bringing this news. I have already purchased tickets to the L.A. show. I don't have The Getty Address yet, so now I know what I need to purchase.

Help! It is delivered as a .zip file, but WinZip complains that it can't extract it due to an "invalid filename" -- e.g., "Ascending Melody 7"\Other files\Emblem Of The World.mp3" Gahhh!! dp's i heart you but *you can't put backslashes in a filename*!

Can this be fixed?
